This area of Arizona has a rich diversity of plant life due to the range in elevations. Cottonwoods, firs, pines, oaks and other trees can be seen throughout the area. On the Quailway property you will also see local apple, pecan and walnut trees planted for the local wildlife.
Colorful wildflowers are abundant throughout the Chiricahua mountains and the desert valley. Specific butterfly and hummingbird attracting plants have been planted at Quailway to provide both a nectar source for both as well as host plants for butterflies.
Mesquite is the primary plant you will encounter while staying at Quailway. Other plants encountered in the area include yucca and agave to name just a few.
